Meet Our Lead Electrician, John S. Boyle

John S. Boyle’s journey in the electrical field began at a young age working for Phillips Heating and learning the ropes by doing whatever tasks were needed. John was involved in control wiring for energy management systems, gaining valuable hands-on experience. He pursued formal training in high school, earning a two-year certificate in HVAC and later an associate’s degree in Electrical Technology.

Throughout his early career, John worked in a wide range of electrical fields, including commercial fire alarm installation, industrial control panel assembly, and commercial construction. He took on the role of a traffic control electrician for the City of Pittsburgh, a position he held for nine years. During this time he began his self-employment as an electrical contractor, ultimately transitioning to full-time self-employment.

John’s work for the City of Pittsburgh School Board included Cat 5 data installation, lighting retrofits, fire alarm systems, fiber optic installations, and a variety of maintenance contracts. He expanded his expertise by managing electrical projects for various contractors, including large-scale power and lighting installations for buildings up to 100,000 square feet and complex electrical systems for industrial facilities.

Most recently, John was invited to rejoin his cousin’s company, where he now heads the electrical division, continuing his passion for the trade and commitment to excellence.
